Blessing Day

Avery's Blessing Day. Babies in our church have a special event where they are given a name and a blessing. It is a special occasion for families. Brad gave Avery her baby blessing. Her given name is Avery Rebekah Fackrell. She received a beautiful blessing which centered on her being a an important part of our eternal family.

Almost crawling! Avery in her PJs. She is getting up on her hands and knees (this week she got on her hands and toes) She will take off crawling any day now. She has mastered scooting on her tummy. She loves to wiggle over to the kitchen floor where she can slide across the tile more easily.

I don't who thought up these weird snack feeders for babies, but it sure makes it nice to know Avery can't choke when she is venturing forward into solids. This is a video of her eating watermelon. I think she had already polished it off. She really likes watermelon!

Avery's marvelous purple overalls. Madeline and Alisa have designated themselves as Avery's valets. They organize the best outfits based on weather and color coordination. (Patterns are not a criteria!)

Don't you love those blue eyes!

This is so funny that it doesn't seem possible. I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. I was reading a bedtime story to Alisa and Avery was playing near me on the floor. Alisa's roommate had her laundry spread all over the floor. Avery was rolling back and forth on the floor having a good time stirring up the laundry. She rolled over and had gotten her arms through an article of clothing. Wouldn't you know it, it was her big sister's underwear! We laughed and laughed. Avery laughed too - totally unaware of her fashion faux pas!
