NOT camera shy 2016

 Avery's sister, Alisa, is interested in photography.  Avery is her guinea pig this sunny day in the middle of 2016. You can tell from Avery's "range" that she enjoyed being the center of attention... for awhile.  Pick your favorites.  I'll tell you mine!

This eye popping expression is one Avery gives me frequently.  You'll see it again!

Walking to the Rio Grande from the Bosque.  Cousins came to visit and we had a warm day - even for April.  We spent the whole afternoon wading in the river.

 The tooth fairy has been busy at our house.  Here are some new grown-up teeth that Avery is pretty proud of.

Avery still doesn't love hiking.  We are stopped at Wilson Arch, just outside of Moab, Utah.  A favorite place to stretch our legs.  Avery thinks she should stay in the car where it is warm.

February 2016

 Grandma Joanne visited.  Avery recently learned to play chess and is giving Grandma Jo a run for her money.

We got a trampoline after a very convincing campaign was launched to convince Dad that it is most appropriate for children of a chiropractor to have a trampoline.  If they kink their necks, Dad can fix them.  They won the day and here Madeline, Alisa, and Avery are demonstrating one of the very best things about having a trampoline: static electricity!

 I can say nothing in defense of children who eat brownie batter with their fingers and lick the mixing bowl, except that they are very sweet.

Avery makes a very cute Ewok.  This was at a scout pack meeting with a Star Wars theme.

Avery's sister, Madeline, has been trying out hairstyles on all her sisters.  Avery is a willing guinea pig.  Avery generally likes the wild girl hair look (avoid brushing your hair and you can get the same look). This has turned a new page in Avery's world.  Now she often braids her own hair or puts it in pigtails, all by herself.  Here are some of her sister's fun "dos."
