June is for music, fun and food 2010

This is a new stunt Avery has learned. When she is done eating she rubs whatever is left on her plate in her hair. We are good at watching for her to finish now. We were having to wash her hair three times a day. Rachel brought a plastic hair cap from beauty school for her to wear when she eats. She wore it a couple of times and was very cute wearing it at dinner. She thought she was very stylish and didn't want to take it off. Her hair is long enough to make two tiny pigtails.

Some time ago I (Brad) had an experience that I would like to share with you. When Janet was pregnant with Aaron I had a dream. In my dream I saw a little girl as part of our family. Her name was Avery. I told Janet in the morning about my dream and we wondered if it meant we were going to have a baby girl. Janet always felt that we would have sons – plural. When Aaron was born, that promise was fulfilled. We now had 2 sons. We also felt very strongly that Janet was not to give birth to another child, but we wondered about the little girl in the dream. We wondered why we would have this dream and then not be able to bring another baby into our family.

As you know, things don’t always come about in our lives the way we plan them. When the Lord closes a door, a window opens.

We are very grateful for this child and are thankful that we were chosen to be her parents. Our children are all looking forward to having Avery as part of our family. We feel that she will complete our family.
